After using visual thinking software, describe the 21st century skills you think were most valuable to you in the learning process?

I think the most valuble to me in the learning process is concept mapping thinking. These typee of programs take a visual learning approach to critical thinking.Research on thinking and memory suggests that visual learning techniques, or associating verbal information with images, enhance understanding, build connection and expand our brain's capacity to learn.
When students use visual thinking software they are creating visuals of their own ideas in the form of webs, concept maps, idea maps and other kinds of graphic organizers. Concept mapping is a technique for visualizing the reationships among ifferent concepts and a concept map is the diagram showing the relationships aming the concepts.

How does using multimedia allow you as a teacher to appeal to a wide diversity of learners?

I think multimedia allow me as a teacher to appeal to a wide diversity of leaner. Because cognitive research has shown that individuals learn more when they can learn information in both visually and auditorily. Multimedia appeals to many different types of learning modes and styles because of the many forms of media that can be included(text, audio, animation, pictures, etc.). As a teacher, I think with different students , I can use different types of learning modes and styles in Multimedia. Multimedia allows learners to construct their their own learning and empowers learners' creativity and design skills. Multimedia also provides a hands-on experience when learners are allowed to create multimedia projects.
Multimedia encourages deep thinking, organizational skills, and information literacy. I think as a teacher, I will more often use the multimeidia to teach my students.
